Grammar

Do you know this book?

0Hello, I hope I'm writing in the right place.02br
02br
00 I would like to ask if somebody know this book "Fundamentals of English Grammar" by Betty Schrampfer Azar.02br
02br
00I found it at home, I bought it fifteen or even more years ago. It seems allright, but I was wandering if it' s more likely based on American English.02br
02br
00I'm preparing for CAE. I went and checked my level and I was suggested to try, but I wasn't checked on my writing for exemple and I'm not so skilled, so I think I better revise grammar from the beginning.02br
02br
00'hope you can answer to me,02br
02br
00thanks a lot,02br

0I don't think you will find the grammars of BrE and AmE fundamentally different. Nevertheless, Longman's is a British publishing house. Your edition is a little old; there are NEWER and others in the Azar series.

 • But then, grammar has not changed much in the last 15 years, but only the methods of presenting it.

0Thank you for your answer and for the link to Longman/Azar's website. I'll keep my book then, and if I see it's not enough I'll buy a new one too. 02br
