Do you get the same impression?

Do you get different impressions when I say,

1) I want to tell people living abroad about my culture.
2) I want to people from abroad about my culture.

Living abroad is often used when discussing people who are from one country but currently live in another. She's British, but she's lived abroad for most of her life. From abroad would suggest people who come to this country from somewhere else.

I see!!! Very clear explanations:) Could I ask you one more question? Do you say, "people abroad" instead of "people living abroad?"

I am so sorry to bother you, but could I ask one more question just to make sure?

What I am trying to say is that I am Japanese and I want American, British, Germans, Spanish and etc, people who live live in their own countries to understand Japanese culture, people abroad is the safest choice?

I want to learn English to tell people abroad
About my own culture.

People abroad is probably the safest choice. Foreigners/Foreign people would work too, but foreign(er) can have slightly negative connotations.

Hi teacherJapan! I would rather say it this way. I think this is more specific:

I want to tell people of other nationalities with different cultures about my own culture.

I see!! I'll just stick to "people abroad" or "people in other countries" because what I am trying to say is foreign people who live in their own countries:) I didn't know that people "living abroad" and people "abroad" can convey different messages.
