Sports play an important role in day to day life. Many athletes win people's admiration throughout their country and some even have fans all around the world. The professional athletes can definitely become a model for the youngster, however they can also be a bad example too.

The juveniles are enamoured with sportman or woman. The professional athletes are perceived as heroes and of course youngsters want to become heroes. That means they want to play sport which is good for their health. Playing sports can also teach them a lot of things such as team work, how to win or lose in gracefully. The professional athletes demonstrate the importance of endeavour to achieve goals, practicing to be good at something. Therefore professional athletes can set a good models for children and teenagers to follow them.

On the other hand, athletes might be a bad example. Comparing to others jobs, athletes are paid a higher salary and some athletes actually make more money from endorsements than from actually playing the sport. If the youngster focus on that, they will want to play sports just for money and fame, not for the fun of the game or the challenges of learning how to play well. Furthermore, some athletes have bad attitudes like using drugs or having unsporting behaviours while playing. Those facets send a wrong messages to the juveniles.

in conclusion, athletes can be a good model for young people but they have to pay more attention regarding their attitudes, being aware of how they show can influent the youngster lives.
