Youngsters are the future of a country or society. Their actions directly or indirectly affect a nation's development and prosperity. Some people believe that youngsters today do not have much role or any effect on decisions that determines the future of any society or nation. However, I strongly disagree. I believe that young people have a lot of influence on any kind of decision related to society because of the following two reasons.
First of all, youngsters are given the voting rights which is necessary for choosing a great leader for a nation. Today, young people are properly exercising their rights to vote by making decisions to choose the best leaders from the crowd who can bring changes to society. Nowadays, they consider a lot of factors for selecting such leaders. For instance, recently in Nepal, an election was held for selecting the mayor of Kathmandu city. There were a lot of candidates but young people supported and voted for the candidate who was qualified, dignified, and appropriate for the position. It surely affected the future of that city as the candidate brought many positive changes afterward.
Next, there is an active participation of youngsters in changing the rules and regulations of a nation which may inhibit the progress of citizens as well as society. They raise their voices for encouraging changes through different mediums such as social media, protests, or campaigns. For example, a few years back in India, there was no law to punish those sellers who sell acids openly without official permission. That caused negative effects on the life of citizens. Therefore, young people started a rally and protested for the implementation of a law for punishing those sellers. As a result, a new law was passed. It shows how much positive effect a youngster today has on the decisions related to the nation's future.
In the modern era, I feel that youngsters are the foundation of new and positive changes. They make a society better place by bringing their innovative and modern thoughts into different aspects of decision-making. In conclusion, I strongly believe that young people have a huge impact on any kind of important decision related to the future of society.
