It is argumentative that junk food has adverse impacts on our style of living and comestibles. Notwithstanding its harmful effects, there are numerous advantages. However, I am firmly of the opinion that the drawbacks outweigh the advantageous side, as will be discussed.

On the one hand, fast food is, in terms of time, as well as financial spending, the optimum choice. Instead, going home on an empty stomach, after a hard day’s work, one feels weary of cooking a meal which causes loss of appetite; it is a rapid way to feed one’s stomach when purchasing convenience food that does not need processing. For example, should an individual working round the clock have to prepare for sustenance, there will be no time to unwind, leading to an unsuccessful day. Furthermore, not only does this kind of food save time but also cut expenditure because of its cheapness.

On the other hand; contrary to its appeals, it is detrimental to our health, especially children. Processed food largely stems from supplies that are of unknown origin, hence nobody ensures as to whether they are hygienic or not. Moreover, teenagers tend to consume innumerable processing food per day which is supposed to lack the nutrition that is of paramount importance to adolescence whose body longs for nourishment; therefore, they will be malnourished. For instance, a child who has not consumed vitamins or protein enough accounting for eighty percent of a child’s body is fed drink carbonated soft drinks thereby is believed to be undernourished.

In conclusion, I still hold my view that the demerits overshadow the merits when it comes to fast food consumption.
