Do we need "that" here?

The person i like most is my mum.

The person that i like most is my mum.

He is the person that i like most.

He is the person i like most.

IS "THAT" necessary in that above sentence?

No the word THAT is not necessary in the above sentence. You can say .... The person I like is my mom if you are talking conversationally but saying The person that I like the most is not incorrect either.
