Do we need comma before "and "in these sentences ?

They derive a trial solution of the TTI eikonal equation, and apply the
Shanks transform to stabilize the truncated power series,
and
We also discuss an extension of our approximations to
two-way traveltime moveout, and their applicability for multilayered
