Do v/s does

Hello everyone.

I am going to ask a very basic question, which seems very simple but I always get confused in this.

When should we use "do" and when "does".

Here's what I know about these two words:

Does is used with he/she/it.

Do is used with I/we/you/they.

But when the sentence becomes a bit complicated, then I sometimes come across this problem.

Eg.

*Words don't seem to come out.

*Word doesn't seem to come out.

*The word doesn't seem to come out.

Sorry, I couldn't come up with any better examples, but my point is how should one decide where to use "do" and where "does"?

Also, could you please confirm if the above three examples are correct?

Thanks

Sejal
