"Do studying English"

Can I say, "It is not easy to do studying English alone."? The "to do gerunds structures are common and possible? I have heard something like "do the talking", etc often but I do not think something like "do talking", etc is natural and common. What do you native English speakers think? Thank you so much as usual and have a good day.

Just use the infinitive for this: It is not easy to do study ing English alone. Here is an example with do + gerund. They divide the housework between them.

Thank you, so we need 'the' in general or all the time in front of gerunds in 'do the cooking', etc? How about 'do cooking'? It does not sound good? Thank you so much.

There is a case for omitting the definite article. It is when the activities are general rather than specific.

Example:
Please hire us to help you around the house..
We (can / will) do cooking, cleaning, ironing, washing and dog-walking.
