Do or Does?

Me and my husband have been arguing on which one is correct?

- Does his feet touch the ground? (here does refers to the singular his)
- Do his feet touch the ground? (here the do refers to the plural feet)

Which one is correct? Please also try and explain why, so each of us is clear on who is correct/wrong

First sentence, I would say that "Does his foot touch the ground" - needs to be singular all round, meaning you are talking about one foot only.
The 2nd sentence is correct for the plural feet.
