Do not put it in the bin

I have started reading a lot on how to use puntucation marks, as I mentioned previously that I tend to ignore them especially when I write. What do you think of the paragraph below? Did I put the commas at the right places? What do you think of the content of the paragraph?
You cannot put it in the bin, because they might ask for it so I would advise you to put it somewhere safe, where they can see it. Otherwise, leave it where it is and ask the cleaner to cover it with a plastic bag. I understand that the last time you asked her to do it, she refused and you reported her to Lynne. Let me know this time, if she refuses to follow your instructions, I will give her a file note.
