Do Not Disturb

I see this sentence on the doors, but I don't like it. I won't have a good feelings about who is inside, even if I haven't know him/her. Is it really polite?

Hi, It's such a common notice that I don't think it offends most people. I suppose it would be better to add 'please'. Clive

Thanks Clive. Emotion: smileYes I think it's better. But still I think disturb is a bit harsh. Is there any other thing that can tell same meaning

Hi,

Most native speakers, in most contexts, would not find the word 'disturb' in any way offensive.
