Do not concentrate on the platform

Hi,

Below are some sentences I have heard when I take a subway:
Passengers attention please. Do not concentrate on the platform. If you cannot get on the train, wait for the next one.

Is that natural to you?

The part I put in red does not seem natural to me.

I don't even know what it means. What is the speaker trying to say?

During the rush hour, the subway station is very crowded. The speaker is asking the passengers to scatter, so that each door of the train can be passed through by nearly the same number of passengers.

It took me a moment, but I did understand it. The sentences are natural enough; it is just a word choice we are not used to.
