Thank you. What about this one:

I don't think there is any as a ____ of truth in his story.

a) crumb
b) speck
c) grain
d) pebble

I searched and found that A SPECK OF TRUTH and A GRAIN OF TRUTH have the same meaning so how can I choose?

I agree with you, from a logical point of view. However, the almost idiomatic phrase is grain (probably to show the possibility of the information "growing"). The sentence is not quite right: I don't think there is so much as a grain of truth; I don't think there is a grain of truth.
