Do I use the first sentence without a comma or the second with commas?

Joseph's son Tony is a doctor.
Joseph's son, Tony, is a doctor.

As Joseph has two other sons, do I use the first sentence without a comma or the second with commas?

Thanks..

Both these are possible. The second one presents the name as additional, non-essential information, and tends to imply that he has only one son. In the first style the name is an integral part of the person's identification.
