Do I use phrasal verbs correctly?

"She has been off school for a few months to go to Singapore to have blood cancer treatment. Now she's back and is finding it hard to catch up".

Sometimes I do confuse when using phrasal verbs, also the tenses of the verbs.

Thank you for help!

She has been away from school for a few months to go to Singapore for blood cancer treatment. Now she's back and is finding it hard to catch up. I have been off cigarettes for two months now, and I think I have broken the habit.
