bath

path

the

mother

brother

Top answer

The "th" sound at the end of "bath" and "path" is not bad (perhaps just slightly more "s"-like than would be ideally desirable). However, both words sound to me like "bath". I don't hear a "p" sound.

  • The "th" sound in "the", "mother" and "brother" is not great, being more like "d".
  • Also, in "mother" and "brother", there seems to be a gap between the syllables, and the onset of the second syllable is given an unusual amount of emphasis.
