Do I need some indication of frequency in order to be natural?

Hi teachers,
According to this sentence, 'Sharon has phoned Robert this week.' Do I need some indication of frequency like, 'twice, often' in order to be natural?
If not, would the assumption be that she has done it only once or every day?

The sentence doesn't say anything about frequency. She could have phoned once or several times in the past week. As it is, it does sound unnatural.

  • The sentence doesn't say anything about frequency.
  • She could have phoned once or several times in the past week.
  • As it is, it does sound unnatural.
  • You could also say Sharon has phoned often or leave has out and just say Sharon phoned Robert.
