Do I need 'of' here?

Dear Forum Users,

I am now writing an essay in which I have the following irony:

"This is beautiful weather."

When I later wish to refer back to this example, can I say:

In the example "This is beatiful weather", the speaker says ...

OR

In the example of? "This is beautiful weather", the speaker says ...

Thank you very much.
