Do I need a comma before 'and' in this sentence?

If any of my readers are interested in the unreleased entry, then they can drop a comment and I will happily send it to them via e-mail.

Hi, If any of my readers are interested in the unreleased entry, then they can drop a comment and I will happily send it to them via e-mail. A comma is optional here. I wouldn't use one.

  • 'Drop a comment' doesn't sound natural.
  • I suggest either 'drop me a line' or, preferably, just 'email me'.
