Do I need a comma after 'yes' in this sentence?

Hi teachers,
I know we need a comma after 'yes' in this sentence, 'Yes, it is.'
Do I also need a comma after 'yes' in the following one? If yes, do we always use a comma after 'yes' regardless how long the sencence is?
Yes, it is our house.

Thanks in advance.
