Do I express the idea correctly

Hi teachers,

Would you help me correct my sentence below, please?

Everyone should have a raffle with a number on it in their hands. Number one being very small and 18 being very big (high??). If you drew a raffle with number 1 on it, you would come out first and pick any one of the prizes from the table. Then you open the prize for others to see what the prize is. When the next person with number 2 on their raffle, they could either pick a prize from the table and open it, or they could exchange their prize with number 1. Number 3 on the raffle would get to pick a prize or could exchange their prize with either number 1 or 2. And so on. Number 18 is granted the most privileges to exchange a prize with any one of the preceding numbers. No prize is the definitive one until number 18 chooses their prize.

Thank you.

Hi Clive,

Thank you for correcting my sentence. This game is supposed to be an exciting one. We play it at every Christmas gathering with lots of fun and laughs. Sometimes with a lower number and you really want to keep your chosen prize, but other person who has a raffle ticket with a higher number on it could steal your prize if they have eyes on your prize.

What do you mean "Do you want all the people to remain at the front, in a line"?

Are there more than 18 people in the room? ie Does everyone get a prize?

Hi,

No, you could say 'If you have a ticket with number 1'
or just 'If you have number 1'.

You can use the terms raffle/lottery/draw.

Hi Clive,

Thanks again for helping me. 18 raffle tickets for 18 people. One of us will host the game while he or she plays the game. When number 7 is called, the one holding number 7 will come to the table and pick one prize, if he doesn't like it, he can literally exchange his prize with one holding a number smaller than 7. (i.e. he can ask number 1,2,3,4,5 or 6 to exchange prize wit

Hi Clive,

Everyone should have a raffle ticket with a number on it. The numbers will be called in the order of one to eighteen, with number 1 being the lowest and number 18 the highest.
