do home schooling?

Which of these sentences makes more sense to you, when asked the question "What do the children do in their new home?" Keep in mind that we're talking about children who are home schooled (but we don't necessarily have to state that in the sentence).
I have to confess that sentence #1 doesn't sound natural to me, but I would like to hear your opinion.

1- In their new home the children do home schooling, play games, watch TV, read, etc.
2- In their new home the children do their schoolwork, play games, watch TV, read, etc.

Thanks in advance
