This question occured to me when I re-watched the
http://vimeo.com/9920198: do German people drink cold milk outside breakfast time? I mean, to me it's completely reasonable to drink it when you have breakfast, in the morning. But I wouldn't drink it while I'm eating a plate of spaghetti or a steak. Moreover, I wouldn't drink it cold.
Now, why am I asking? Because, in the afore-mentioned scene, the SS colonel Hans Landa asks the dairy farmer La Padite for a glass of cold milk instead of some wine, which would have been more plausible. Now, that would lead someone to break the suspension of disbelief that's necessary for a movie to be successful and enjoyable. I, for one, didn't notice that detail when I watched the movie for the first time. But, come to think of it, I was left with some doubts.
Do you find it reasonable? I know American people usually drink cold milk at lunchtime. That may account for this fact, since Tarantino is American. What do you make of it?
