Hello everyone,
A. Are the verbs "do", "carry out" and "perform" correctly used in the following sentences?
An examiner to a driver or applicant:
1. Do a reverse parking.
2. Carry out a reverse parking.
3. Perform a reverse parking.
B. Could you please tell me if "a" before "reverse parking" essential" or wrong?
Regards,
JA
Joseph A a reverse parking You may need to wait for a speaker of BrE to help you on this one. As an American I've never heard of a reverse parking. We say, "Back into that parking space".

Still, "do", "carry out", and "perform" do all get the same point across. (Personally, I would not use "carry out", though it's not wrong.)
