Do both explanation have the same meaning?

Hi teachers,
I have changed the blue part in order to make it more understandable for the students. It doesn't change the idea of the whole explanation, does it?

The adverb already in a yes/no question depending on the tone of the speaker, means that s/he is surprised that the action took place or is taking place earlier than s/he expected or it could be a neutral question. Somehow we expect a yes in the answer.

Thanks in advance.

Hello Thinking Spain,

The s/he, shouldn't it be she/he or (s)he? Thank you.

I believe that I am the one who introduced TS to 's/he'. It is a convenient but not universally accepted approach to a problem that has no universally accepted solution. It has the advantage at least of being more common than she/he or (s)he.. but less common than he/she and he or she!
