Do a good job

[F]
Could you help me with this question:
Did you do a good _________ in the last driving test?
A. career B. work C. employment D. job
I know that the answer is either "B" or "D". I opt B. work because when you give comment on somebody's work, you usually say "good work" but the answer is "D. job". I don't know why. Thanks for enlightening me.
