DL/C if someone should know what it is

hello! I would be very grateful if someone explained what this DL/C means when connected with payment: is it a form of payment or procedure or something else..?

Thank you

Hello, Polina-- welcome to English Forums. I don't know it and I cannot find it on the WWW-- could you give us a bit more context, the sentence or other text that surrounds it?

Hello, Mister Micawber! Thank you for your attention to my question!

This DL/C appears in a letter of intent. It must be a condition under which the company is going to make a purchase.

Ex: Origin: Japain; Procedure of payment: to be agreed in the contract; Payment: DL/C

Thank you

Found it, Polina!--

This is from a contract:

PAYMENT: By Irrevocable, Transferable, Divisible, Revolving Documentary Letter of Credit (DL/C), payable 100% at sight, payable and/or confirmed by Top 25 Prime World Bank to cover each month's shipment in favor of the Seller.
