How come the DJ can earn so much money? Are all of DJs wealthy in the West?

There are a few 'celebrity' DJs around, and of course those working on national radio stations are going to have a good chance of earning a pretty good amount. Most DJs are not big earners though - 99% of them are just playing music at weddings and private parties for a small fee.
