Diverse range

Hi.
" As the preceding review has demonstrated, a diverse range of risk factors has been implicated in the development of CD. "

May I replace 'a diverse range' with 'many' here?

Yes, with the following modifications:
"...many risk factors have been implicated..."

Thanks.
What about ..."have been involved in..."?

Many only speaks of quantity. Diverse speaks of variety. They are slightly different. Of course you can modify the sentence as MalRey has pointed out, but you are slightly changing the emphasis. Perhaps use "many different risk factors" instead of "a diverse range of risk factors."
