Ditto

Hi.

Can we use ditto in speaking? I mean when we want to say the same thing, can we say ditto instead of repeating the whole sentence?

Ex.

A. I will stay home tonight.

B. Ditto

Thanks

Yes, but it is not a commonly used expression. Certainly it is very casual.

There is a radio talk show (topic - American politics) where people who blindly agree with the host are called "dittoheads."

The implication is that people who don't think for themselves just say "ditto."
