Disturb

I think this could be a false friend but I am not sure.

Hey guys you disturb me seriously. What would this sentence imply? I am afraid in Spanish it would mean something completely different.

Top answer

that could be taken in several ways, depending on the tone of the conversation. For example, if someone were to cut himself and then pour lemon juice or salt in his own wound, that would be TRULY disturbing. And if someone said in that situation, "You disturb me seriously," it would mean that you really gave them an unpleasant feeling, and they would rather not be around you.

  • But if it's a light-hearted conversation where somebody laughingly says, "You disturb me," it's just a playful sort of jab.
  • I get that response a lot.
