Discriminating characteristics

Hello,

can you please say if this sentence is correct. I translated it almost word for word:

"Hospitality and charm are some of the most discriminating
characteristics of their culture."

Thank you

I see. What does"discriminating" mean then in my sentence?
Does it change the meaning of what I wanted to say?

On second thought, "distinguishing", "distinctive" and "discriminating" are all possible in your sentence and roughly mean the same thing. "discriminating" is probably the least used of the three words.

I see. Thank you Emotion: smile
If I may, I've got one more question: does my sentence, as a whole, sound natural?

It does to me. And it would sound even more so, if you chose "distinguishing" or "distinctive" instead.
