Discomfort

Hi everyone
Here's the thing. I know the meaning of "discomfort" itself but i'm not quite sure about the role "of his own" in this sentence "Meanwhile Simon feels frustration and discomfort of his own".
if you could explain with a few examples that'd be awesome.
Many thanks

I assume that prior to this sentence, we heard about some frustration, discomfort, or other negative emotion that someone else was experiencing, perhaps because of Simon. " It's an intensifier to really show that Simon is the one who is experiencing this, not the other person who was just described.

When used this way, it's the same as saying "Simon feels X himself." It's an intensifier to really show that Simon is the one who is experiencing this, not the other person who was just described.
