disclose and expose meanings

May I use "disclose" and "expose" alternatively?
for e.g:
- I've just disclosed for her a secret.
- I've just exposed for a secret.

Are they all mean the same?

I've just disclosed a secret (to her). I've just exposed a secret (to them) My feeling is that while they are generally synonymous, 'exposure' is to a wider audience than 'disclosure'.

"Disclose" is usual with "secret". We normally "expose" only evil things, like a criminal or wrongdoing. If you write about exposing a secret, people will think you made a mistake and meant to put "disclose".
