for the above sentence, is it appropriate to use the word "discipline"? if not, could you please suggest a better one without change the sentence structure?

Let's take another example. You have one red shirt and you have one blue shirt.
Would you say: I have a red shirt and a blue shirt. I have red and blue shirts. (Sounds like you may have 2 red ones and 2 blue ones, right?) I have a red and a blue shirt. I have a red and blue shirt. (Sounds like one shirt
Others may find one of the other variations acceptable as well.
But you can see how that applies to your degree situation. A BSc [degree] and an MSc degree.
Or other variations entirely: I have both Bachelor's and Master's of Science degrees in the field of economics. (This one doesn't seem like you might have muliple master's degrees
