Disciplinary? meaning...

Hi
In Portuguese we use the word "discipina" referring to the different subjects we may study in school, like mathematics, science, history, etc.

It can also mean imposing rules and a proper way to act.

In the dictionnary I find thes meanings to the English word “discipline”.

But how aboout the adjective "disciplinary"?

Is it related to the 1st or the 2nd meaning?

I already mentioned the adjective 'inter-disciplinary', above.
