Discarded at birth...

Clark: l'm proud l was raised to care about people.
And l'm not gonna apologize for it anymore. He'll face his humanity?

John: l know. But this creature was discarded
at birth as a poor imitation.
They threw it away when it was born
as though it was worthless?
He was shown no compassion,
no conscience.
No one raised him to be good? Therefore he has none.
He knows only one thing: Survival.
