Disagreement of the tense

1. "The shipper said that they will check it and contact us."
2. "I heard you're helping a stripper."

I know when the tense of main clause is in the past tense, we can use the future tense or the present progressive form.
And I'd like to know when the tense of main clause is in the past tense if I can use the future tense in the subordinate clause, and when the the tense of main clause in the past tense if I can use the present tense in the subordinate clause.
Thank you in advance for your help.
