She feels kinda dirty about it, like taking free candy from a stranger.

Does dirty mean "not fair or honest"?

This is an odd sentence. A mixed metaphor is involved here. I would have expected to read 'She feels guilty about it - like she's taking candy from a baby (taking advantage of an easy target)'.

  • 'Taking candy from a stranger' is different; it's a dangerous thing to do and we warn our children never to do it.

Thank you, Rover.

Could you tell me why she feels guilty?

Rover's answer was brilliant.
As to why she may feel guilty, that's anyone's guess. Maybe it's because she finally "found herself" and now finds her new job too easy? Who knows. There are many indications that these two paragraphs were not written by a native speaker of English.
