directly

Hello,
Is it wrong to say that some people say everything directly? Straight out might be another option, but I think that "directly" is also acceptable.

It's fine, but be aware of another meaning of "directly," namely immediately. This doesn't affect your sentence but what does "He will speak directly." mean?

He will speak in a straightforward manner or he's about to speak?

The former, not immediately. "Jack avoided saying directly that he disapproved of the proposals." Does it sound good?
You mentioned straightforward. It can be used instead of "directly" in this sentence, can't it?

Could you also use "implied"?

Instead, "Jack implied that he disapproved of the proposals."

Oh, I see. Does directly sound unnatural to you? I copied this sentence from Macmillan Dictionary.

As deadrat has pointed out, it has two interpretations. When you looked up "directly", did you see the alternate meaning?

I did. But it also means "clearly and honestly". Are straightforward and straight out used more frequently in such contexts?
This is my last question.

Depending on your audience, the meaning will either be correct or uncertain. In England, I used it in the sense of "soon": "I'll be along directly". The choice remains yours, however.

If describing the character of someone who always speaks in a clear and straightforward manner, I usually say and hear 'He's very direct'.
