Directions with Prepositions

Hello,

1. What's the difference among the following? Please give examples.


go straight ahead
go straight on
go straight down
go straight all the way

2. How are the following phrases used in a sentence as to directions or locations?

on the left side
on your left side

on your left
to your left

Can we say "The door to your left or on your left or etc."?
Can we say "Go on your left or on the left side or etc."?
