Which of the following intructions is the correct one?
a) Ask and answer about a position.
b) Ask and answer for a position.

for example:
Where is the cat? It is on the table.

for example:
Where is the cat? It is on the table.

'About', not 'for'.

but speaking of 'a position' here is awkward. I suggest this.

Instructions like . . . confirm a position, . . . negate a position . . . sound to me wildly unsuitable for students 'at level zero'.

But the bottom line is - if they work, that's great, don't change them. You are the teacher, and you know your students best.
