Directions

Hi teachers,

I have these two directions for an exercise:

a) We use these questions and answers to talk about the name of an object or an animal in singular and plural.

b) We use these questions and answers to ask and answer about the name of an object or an animal in singular and plural.

I know 'a' is absolutely right.

What about 'b' is it too redundant or I can use it for the same purpose too?

By the way the questions and answers I'm referring to are:

What is this? It is a pen.

What are they? They are pens.

Thanks in advance

I'd say they're both fine. The second may be more useful in reminding the student that statements and questions must both be considered. What about 'b' is it too redundant or I can use it for the same purpose too?

Hi Avangi,
Thank you so much. I was looking for that answer, the one you gave me. It's a big relief for me.Emotion: wink

My other thought was that if the students are very young, you might want to break the sentences into two parts.

You are right. They are not directions. They are explanations.
