Direct/indirect

Oh sorry, earlier when i asked this question I wrote direct speech instead of indirect speech.I actually want to know how to write this sentence in indirect speech
"One day I was just sitting and suddenly I thought, 'I haven't done anything challenging in my life yet, so from now on I will do the things that will take me out of my comfort zone'. That's why I have changed a lot in these last few years."

It will sth like this:
One day I was sitting and suddenly I thought I hadn't done anything challenging in my life yet, so from then I would do the things that would take me out of my comfort zone. That was why I hadn't chnaged a lot in these previous few years.
