Direct to indirect question?

Hi! everyone.
Could someone tell me if we convert the direct question below into the indirect one I have suggested. What changes will occur in the sentence structure of the later?
Direct-Who is calling you?
Indirect-May I know who is calling you?
Now does any change occur in the indirect sentence following "May I know..."?
I mean I know when we say a sentence like "Could you tell me where the doctor is? the verb's place is changed in the sentence. So should I expect any changes in the sentence in question above?
Thanks!
