direct speech

Dear all,

I have a problem formulating the following centence:

"As part of stregthning of our competitive position, ...," the central office stated.

This ist what the central office said. But it should be "the central office generally stated". I have no idea how to express it correctly.

If you have some proposals I would be happy.

Natalia09 But it should be "the central office generally stated" I don't know why you believe that the word 'generally' should be added. It makes no sense to me. I think you'll need to explain this in greater detail before we can help.

Did the source have "generally"?

No, it has not "generally" it has literally "bulky".

Perhaps the document they put this in was bulky - that is, very thick.
