Direct and indirect speech 3

1) The woman said, "What a beautiful child this is!"

* The woman exclaimed with wonder what a beautiful child that was.

2) His aunt said, "What a pleasant surprise to see you here!"

* His aunt exclaimed with joy that it was a pleasant surprise to see him there.

3) He said, "How unlucky I am that I cannot find out any solution!"

* He exclaimed with sorrow that he was unlucky that he couldn't find out any solution.

4) The captain said, "Bravo! Well done, boys."

* The captain appreciated the boys.

5) The leader said, "Alas! We have lost the game."

* The leader exclaimed with sorrow that they had lost the game.

Have I converted the sentences correctly?

You don't need to add 'with wonder, with joy, with sorrow' etc. You are adding your own interpretation. Except for #4 because alas is a string word.
