Direct Address/Salutation

Are these correct?

I usually see "Hi Mike" without the comma after "Hi" in email correspondences.

Hi Mike,

I am writing to say....

Shouldn't it technically be (with two commas):

Hi, Mike,

I am writing to say....

Also:

Can you do this with the colon after the salutation?

Hi, Mike:

I am writing to say....

Thanks.

This is a very informal greeting, so it shouldn't 'technically' have any specific punctuation. However, colons are for very formal letters, and the extra comma makes it too busy.
