Dinner

I am having dinner with my family members, and suddendly my friends visit my home. I want he to join us eating. Can I say "Let's have dinner with us" or "Pls. join us to have dinner"??

Choosing such kind of expressions depends pretty much on the relationship of the individuals. To me, you can say both of the sentences ( with the corrections) to your friend but if that person is your boss, you should be a bit more formal and polite. " But I wouldn't tell this to my friend.
